I was wondering if any of you were interested in sharing your thoughts on disability abroad? Would you consider emmigrating to another country? Do you believe it's even more challenging to move to a place outside Germany as someone with handicaps or disabilities?
Do we have any immigrants here who would like to tell us about their experience of coming to Germany as a disabled person?
I'm not a native speaker! Please make your own mistakes, don't copy mine!

To live for a few years (not to emmigrate) at least where I liked it best was a dream for a long time and I was magically attracted to the south of England, Cornwall. My disability did not play any role in these considerations. Time has passed over these dreams, the circumstances are different. Today, I would have to take this step alone - that no longer seems tempting to me. There is a season, for any time, for any purpose...

Ich hatte es schon mal überlegt, aber ich kann außer Deutsch keine andere Sprache. Und natürlich hätte ich Angst, wenn ich mal wieder eine größere Krise bekomme und ins Krankenhaus müsste.

Tunesien fand ich sehr schön, vom Meer sieht man die Berge, von den Bergen das Meer. Aber ich war ja nur 3 Wochen im Urlaub dort. Als es mit der Berentung los ging, dachte ich, jetzt kann ich ja auch dauerhaft irgendwo anders hin.
Mittlerweile will ich noch nicht mal mehr aus Leipzig weg.
